Gone are the days of having goalies on the ice and "sharing" with 60 skaters and being stuck in a corner. At "Goalie Only" skills it is just that...only goalies.

Goalie Only skills are the top of the food chain when it comes to group training. No players to share the ice with. All ten week lesson plans are specifically designed and tailored to the group. Lessons include extensive skating development (includes edge work, balance, leg strength, and explosiveness), stick handling improvement, game situation plays, low plays, and breakaways. Each week we will build upon what is taught the week before.

Groups will be kept small (never exceeding 3:1 coaching ratio and never more than 15 at a time) and groups will be set according to ability level (not age). This ensures the ability to "push" the goalies through competition with their peers. Coaches are instructed to coach the indiviual and not the group. Drills will be altered to fit the ability level of every goalie. Goalies will learn for the most experienced group of coaches in the South Shore of Boston. Each coach has been personally coached and instructed by Brian Eklund, and will all use the same terminology and techniques to avoid confusion.

This skill session is the best skills to develop goalies in the state. Brian Eklund believes in these one hour skill sessions so much that he guarantees it!

These skills are designed specifically for goalies looking to improve throughout the fall/winter season. Through years of coaching experience the coaches of Mass Crease have devised a plan of drill progression that will cover all aspects of the game, while keeping costs low. At $25 a walk-on this is the most affordable option of goalie skills offered anywhere around.

Drill topics will match those found in the Goalie Specific skills and goalies will be put into drills with players from Tim Lovell's skills sessions to be able to apply what they have learned in a controlled environment. This is a controlled practice feel. Goalies will spend at least 30 mins working with Mass Crease staff and 15 mins in drills provided by the player school. These skill sessions have been wildly popular in the past and will be limited to a maximum of 10 goalies per hour. In order to lock in your spot you can sign up in advance for the 10 week sessions @ $225, or you can come to the skills and put your name on the wait list. People have been turned away in the past, so if you plan to attend the skills please show up early!
