Skills are intended for goalies that have already have spent time working on the Basics of the position and have a good to very good skating ability (as either a player or a goalie).  Ideally based for goalies that are in their second to fifth year of playing goalie.  All goalies will get intense instruction from highly skilled coaches.  All will be pushed to command a stronger feel for in game situation, crease movement, recovery, multiple shot drills, balance, as well as puck handling and Breakaways.  The skills will be run at a much faster pace than the Beginner skills and as such the goalies will be expected to be prepared to bring water bottles and stretched out prior to stepping on the ice.  No players will be on the ice and there will be a MAX ratio of 3:1 goalies to coach.  Limit 12 Goalies per session.

Skills are intended for goalies that are of High School age (select 7th and 8th graders may attend after talking with MassCrease staff).  These goalies are expected to already have a strong command of goaltending terminology, movement, and philosophy.  Ideally goalies attending these skills would have already attended skills with MassCrease in the past. All goalies will get intense instruction from highly skilled coaches.  All that attend will get an intense cardio workout, so prior to stepping on the ice all goalies should be warmed up, stretched, and properly hydrated.  Goalies will be challenged in their understanding of the position as well as their physical execution of saves and movements.  Coaches will be scrutinizing, as well as helping in developing individual goaltending plans for each individual style.  Not all goalies are the same and each will be treated as an individual. Shooters and coaches will be instructed to "shoot to score" at all times.  These skills will not be for the feint of heart.  No players will be on the ice and there will be a MAX ratio of 3:1 goalies to coach.
