Goaltending
is one of the most physically demanding and mentally
challenging positions in all of sports. With this in
mind we have developed all of our camps to exceed the
challenges found in games, and to challenge goalies
to develop through up-tempo drills and experienced coaches
(guaranteed 3:1 ratio, no more than 27 goalies
accepted) that are designed to bring the most
out of every individual. The Game Day Camp of ours has
been a favorite for the past 4 summers with goalies
of all ages. Last year they all sold out! This camp
encompasses all the aspects of being a goalie and puts
them into a fun filled day camp. Drop off for camp is
8:30 AM, and pick up will be 4:00 PM.
Each day
there will be an off-ice component. Each day the off-ice
will be themed with the on ice program. On days where
puck handling will be occurring on ice we will be
working on stick handling off ice, as well as, playing
street hockey (for example). Also every day goalies
will go through goaltending
yoga (GOALGA) that was developed with only the
goalie in mind.
Through advanced techniques
developed and studied by Brian and his staff we know
we will challenge even the most seasoned goalie, as
well as, develop and culture the young beginners.
We not only stand by our product, but we guarantee
it. |

This summer the Elite Clinic
is going to be undergoing a change.
Even though last year was a
huge success, I still felt there were area that I
would like to improve it. In talking with many of
our Elite goalies (current College, USHL/NAHL, Juniors,
and High School/Prep Varsity) we have come up with
a new slant on the Elite Conditioning Camp. The whole
idea is to get top goaltenders on the ice together
to push each other in small groups, and that is what
I am striving for in this camp. Here we are going
to shorten the length of the day that each goalie (max 4 goalies per session, 2:1 ratio) is
going to be at the rink, while increasing the length
of the camp. This summer we are going to be running
the camp for two (2) hours per day (Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursdays) for six (6) weeks during the summer. This is going to allow the goalies
to maximize their time at the rink while also helping
to develop the goalies THROUGHOUT the summer rather
than just a week during the summer. I personally feel
that this is going to be the BEST plan to develop
elite goalies. Lesson plans will be set each day and
will be tailored to the goalie, not to the group.
You will be getting a semi private lesson three days
a week throughout the summer for two hours a day.
There is no better way to develop. On Fridays all
accepted goalies will have a Yoga class with Kalena,
and included in the price is a scout DVD of the 6
weeks of drills that can be used to be sent to Pro,
College, and junior teams for help in the recruiting
process.
This
camp is by application only and you can download the
application by
CLICKING HERE. All applications must be received
by January 31st. All deposits must be received by February 28th, these deposits are non-fundable. Two experienced
paid shooters will be there daily. Any questions can
be sent to Brian Eklund (Brian@masscrease.com).
Payment plans available.

The
AAA camp is not for the feint of heart. Back for its
4th season in the summer line up the AAA camp is by
application only. The idea is to bring the most talented
goalies from the state at all ages (6-18) and put them
on the ice together to push one another. The drills
will be built around the fact that none of the goalies
on ice need to learn the basics, and we will start off
the camp at a higher pace than that of the Game Day
Camp. Through the use of the best coaches in the area,
and a curriculum that includes a more intense off-ice
work out then the Game Day camp, we guarantee that not
only will your goalie improve but it will do so rapidly
while having fun. Drop off for the camp will be 8:30
AM and the pick up will be 4:00 PM. No more
than 30 goalies will be accepted.

will be an off-ice component. Each day the off ice
will be themed with the on-ice program. On days where

MORE THAN 4 GOALIES ADMITTED PER SESSION (4:1 Ratio)
MassCrease is excited to be offering the
very popular 8 Week Development Clinic this summer in
conjunction with Lovell Hockey. The Camp
will be all inclusive consisting of 2 hours of on
ice development.
The clinic will consist of
1 hour of personal work with the MassCrease staff
(4:1 ratio goalie to coach) and then 1 hour drill
integration with the Lovell Hockey camp. Drills will
challenge the best of goalies, and will consist of
many game situation plays such as 2x1s, 2x2s, 3x2s,
etc. The idea is to develop the player to make them
more well rounded, better skilled and a stronger faster
goalie and challenge them with some of the best players
in the state attending Lovell Hockey’s camp.
We eventually will rearrange
the groups buy age, ability and talent. To make it
the best possible experience for every player we sometimes
need to move the player to a session that best fits
his/her needs. This allows us to work on what the
group and players need at the different levels. The
goal is to pair the players up to maximize the development
for everyone. We will evaluate the players after the
first couple of days and notify the player & parent
of the change that may need to be made. |
